Tomorrow is another
day
Creative Writing
There once was a small boy named Tom. Tom was not like the
other boys at his school. He was not Strong. He was not big. And he did not
have a lot of friends. Every day at recess, all the boys would line up outside for
a foot race. “Ready. Set. GO!” And the boys were off. Tom was not fast and he
usually could not keep up with the other boys. But Tom was determined to win.
Every day, Tom would finish almost last to all the other boys. He knew that if
he kept practicing every day, he would be fast enough to beat the other boys.
“What are you doing here Tom, this race isn’t for you” the older boys would say
to Tom. But Tom never got discouraged. He held his head high and trained hard
every day. And every day Tom would line up with the other boys to race. “Ready.
Set. GO!” And they were off once again. And once again Tom came in last. The
boys laughed at him and called him names but Tom was still determined to win.
He would go home and train even harder, until something started to happen. Tom wasn’t
getting last anymore. He was working his way up in the race. Every day Tom ran
faster and faster until the very last day. “Ready. Set. GO!” And for the last
time the boys took off. Tom remembered everything the boys had said to him in
the beginning and used it to motivate him to run faster. He ran as fast as he
could and he did it! Tom had beaten all of the older boys. Tom did not give up
and believed in himself. The moral of the story is to never give up. Just
because people discourage you or tell you that you don’t belong, does not mean
to give up. Tomorrow is always a new day with new adventures and opportunities to
be your best.
